About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Chemist to join our Agro R&D team. The candidate will support research and development activities focused on agrochemical synthesis, formulation, and process development, contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions for the agriculture sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments related to synthesis, purification, and characterization of agrochemical intermediates and actives.
- Support formulation development (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, insecticides).
- Perform reaction monitoring, analysis, and documentation of experimental results.
- Assist in scaling up lab processes to pilot level under senior supervision.
- Work with analytical teams to characterize compounds using NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, etc.
- Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols, GLP, and EHS guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D and manufacturing teams to transfer learnings.
Key Skills
- Qualification: M.Sc. with Organic Chemistry
- Hands-on skills in synthetic chemistry and analytical techniques.
- Exposure to agrochemical formulations (preferred).
- Familiarity with GLP, EHS, and laboratory safety practices.
- Good documentation and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
