About Us Role Overview
We are looking to hire a Business Development professional with hands-on experience in the recycling ecosystem, particularly in metal, polymer, battery, or plastic recycling. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the circular economy space.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in metal, polymer, battery, and plastic recycling segments
- Build and manage relationships with recyclers, aggregators, processors, manufacturers, and OEMs
- Source recyclable materials and/or recycled outputs aligned with customer requirements
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers and buyers
- Conduct market research to track trends, pricing, regulations, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, sourcing, compliance) to ensure smooth execution
- Drive partnerships for sustainable and circular economy initiatives
- Achieve assigned revenue and growth targets
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in Business Development / Sales within:
- Metal recycling
- Polymer / plastic recycling
- Battery recycling (Li-ion, EV, etc.)
- Waste management or circular economy businesses
- Strong understanding of recycling value chains and material flows
- Proven ability to close deals and manage long-term partnerships
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Willingness to travel as required
Experience Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial buyers, recyclers, or sustainability-focused organizations
- Exposure to ESG, sustainability, or circular economy projects
- Engineering / Science / MBA background preferred
