Job Purpose

Quality Control team will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, and finished products through analytical testing and compliance with established quality standards. The role requires strong expertise in laboratory operations, analytical techniques, documentation, and regulatory compliance within the specialty chemicals industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per approved specifications and test methods.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analysis using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer, KF, FTIR, IC, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Review analytical data, investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality systems, laboratory safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory instruments, calibration schedules, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, R&D, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support audits, inspections, and customer quality assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory records, COAs, stability reports, and quality documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and laboratory efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor QC chemists and analysts to ensure operational excellence.

Experience & desired skills

  • 6–10 years of experience in Quality Control within Specialty Chemicals, Agrochemicals, Fluorochemicals, Fine Chemicals, or Chemical Manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical chemistry knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, KF, and wet chemistry analysis.
  • Knowledge of ISO, GMP, GLP, and quality management systems.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Team management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
