Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Sourcing Executive to support the procurement and supplier management activities for our Food Ingredients business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, managing RFQs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth through efficient sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Source food ingredients, additives, nutraceutical ingredients, functional ingredients, sweeteners, preservatives, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and specialty food chemicals from domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers and manufacturers based on quality, cost, capacity, and compliance requirements.
- Execute RFQs, collect quotations, perform cost analysis, and recommend sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, and supply agreements.
Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, certifications, manufacturing facilities, and quality systems.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply and mitigate sourcing risks.
Commercial & Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and industry developments.
- Track commodity price movements and assess their impact on procurement costs.
- Support the sales team with sourcing insights and competitive pricing.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain documentation such as:
- COA (Certificate of Analysis)
- TDS (Technical Data Sheet)
- MSDS/SDS
- FSSAI documentation
- HACCP, ISO, GMP, BRC certifications
- Allergen and Non-GMO declarations
- Ensure sourced products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Logistics teams.
- Coordinate sample procurement and customer qualification activities.
- Support order execution and resolve supply-related challenges.
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
- Experience in Food Ingredients, Nutraceutical Ingredients, Functional Ingredients, Flavors & Fragrances, or Specialty Ingredients preferred.
- Experience dealing with manufacturers and contract manufacturing partners is desirable.
