We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to drive growth for our Food & Nutrition business, with a strong focus on Botanical Extracts and Natural Ingredients. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, and expanding Scimplify's presence across domestic and international markets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical-commercial knowledge of botanical extracts, nutraceutical ingredients, and food ingredients, along with a proven track record in B2B ingredient sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development for Botanical Extracts, Plant Extracts, Natural Ingredients, Functional Ingredients, and Nutraceutical Ingredients.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and acquire new customers across Food, Beverage, Nutraceutical, Functional Food, and Dietary Supplement industries.
  • Manage and grow strategic key accounts while expanding business with existing customers through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying emerging market trends, customer requirements, and innovative ingredient solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, product management, regulatory, quality, and technical teams to ensure timely execution of customer projects.
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract closures.
  • Conduct product presentations, customer visits, technical discussions, and commercial trials.
  • Stay updated on global market trends, new product launches, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
  • Represent Scimplify at industry exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows such as Food Ingredients (Fi), Vitafoods, SupplySide, etc.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer activities through CRM.
  • Forecast sales, monitor collections, and ensure achievement of business objectives.

  • 10–15 years of experience in Food & Nutrition ingredient sales.
  • Proven experience in Botanical Extracts, Nutraceutical Ingredients, or Natural Ingredient businesses.
  • Strong customer network within Food, Beverage, Nutraceutical, and Dietary Supplement industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large B2B accounts and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
