Sourcing Manager - Plasticisers and Polymer compounds

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• • Lead sourcing activities for plasticisers and polymer compounds across domestic and international markets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified manufacturers and suppliers based on quality, capability, cost, and compliance.
  • Develop a diversified supplier base to ensure uninterrupted supply and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and emerging technologies to support sourcing decisions.

Manufacturing Partnership Development

• • Build and strengthen strategic manufacturing partnerships with contract manufacturers and production partners in India and globally.
  • Identify manufacturing capabilities that align with business expansion and product portfolio requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, supply terms, confidentiality agreements, and long-term partnership contracts.
  • Manage partner relationships to ensure operational excellence, scalability, and business continuity.

Commercial & Business Development

• • Collaborate with Business Development, R&D, and Operations teams to identify new manufacturing opportunities.
  • Evaluate potential manufacturing partners through technical, commercial, and operational assessments.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve supply chain resilience, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support new product commercialization through partner identification and manufacturing readiness.

Stakeholder Management

• • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Coordinate with international stakeholders and suppliers to manage project timelines and commercial discussions.
  • Present sourcing strategies, partnership opportunities, and market insights to leadership.

Required Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience

• • 7-10  years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, business development, or manufacturing partnerships within the chemical, polymer, plastics, or specialty chemicals industry.
  • Proven experience in sourcing plasticisers, polymer compounds, additives, or related chemical products.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers is highly desirable.
