Role summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) at Scimplify will own strategic relationships with our most important clients, drive revenue growth, and act as the primary point of contact for complex, high-value accounts. This role requires a proactive, independent operator who navigates ambiguity, escalates and resolves issues decisively, and consistently delivers measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Account ownership: Serve as the single owner for assigned key accounts; develop and execute account plans that align client objectives with Scimplify’s solutions.
- Revenue growth: Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities; meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Stakeholder management: Build trusted relationships with C‑level and operational stakeholders; coordinate internal teams (product, delivery, support) to ensure client success.
- Issue navigation: Anticipate and resolve commercial, operational, and technical challenges; escalate appropriately and drive timely resolution.
- Independent execution: Operate autonomously to prioritize activities, manage pipeline, and close complex deals with minimal supervision.
- Reporting & forecasting: Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM; provide regular account health updates and strategic insights to leadership.
- Customer advocacy: Capture client feedback, influence product roadmap, and ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
Required qualifications
- Experience: 4–8 years in B2B account management, enterprise sales, or customer success with demonstrable success managing strategic accounts.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Technical aptitude: Comfortable discussing SaaS/product capabilities and coordinating technical resources.
- Tools: Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office, and collaboration platforms.

KPIs and success metrics
- Revenue attainment: Achievement of assigned quota (renewals, upsell, new revenue).
- Account retention: Renewal rate and churn for assigned accounts.
- Customer satisfaction: Net Promoter Score (NPS) or CSAT for key accounts.
- Pipeline health: Qualified pipeline coverage and forecast accuracy.
- Time to resolution: Average time to resolve escalations and critical issues.
