About the role
We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Head – Global Sourcing to build and scale Scimplify’s global sourcing ecosystem across multiple chemical categories and international markets.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong industry relationships, global supplier networks, commercial expertise, and the ability to drive sourcing competitiveness, cost optimisation, and supply reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Build Global Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies across India and international chemical manufacturing hubs.
- Supplier Ecosystem Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers across global markets.
- Strategic Procurement: Lead commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Category Expansion: Drive sourcing across specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, industrial chemicals, and other relevant categories.
- Commercial Excellence: Optimise landed costs, improve sourcing margins, identify alternative suppliers, and strengthen supply competitiveness.
- Global Supply Network: Build a diversified and reliable supplier base to support Scimplify’s expanding domestic and international business.
- Quality & Risk Management: Partner with technical, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure supplier qualification, product quality, compliance, and supply continuity.
- Leadership & Execution: Build and lead the sourcing team, establish sourcing processes, and drive measurable performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
What we are looking for
- Significant experience in global sourcing, strategic procurement, or supplier development, preferably within the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing ecosystems and international supplier markets.
- An established network of domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers.
- Proven expertise in commercial negotiations, cost optimisation, supplier development, and sourcing strategy.
- Experience in international trade, import/export, and cross-border sourcing.
- Demonstrated ability to build sourcing capabilities, develop teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
